Best Flip Phones

Flip phones had been a big hit in the early 2000s; everybody either had one or wanted one. But soon enough waves of new, more powerful mobile phones hit us, and flip phones had gone into extinction…or did they? Recently, flip phones have madea big comeback, and some of these new models are effectively small, very powerful, perfect for sketching on the move, and they fold up small enough to tuck into a pocket.Have a look at the list of some of the best flip phones to buy in 2021.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

It is no wonder that the best flip phone money can buy comes from Samsung. It is a pricey little device but it is also the best one on the market. The screen size is 6.7 inches and it folds nicely in two, without you having to worry about its hinges. Looking at this phone almost seems like looking at something from the future; you can use its one big display or two separate ones and it balances nicely on either a desk or your lap. The camera is quite decent, and the thin glass screen seems sleek and sturdy, and to top it all, wireless charging is also an option. Besides being expensive, the one downside might be the front screen, which is quite small.

Samsung Galaxy Fold

Galaxy Fold is an earlier offer from Samsung, and the pricing is right up there with Z Flip. The screen of this model is big, 7.5 inches big, which basically makes it into a small tablet. Its 4.6-inch display is ideal for calls and messaging and the narrow design makes it easy for slipping it into your pocket. But it does not come without a weakness; its hinged screen is extremely fragile, and it breaks quite easily, so you will have to take extra care of it.

Motorola Razr 2019

The Motorola Razr 2019, a sort of a spiritual successor to the widely popular Razr V3, nicely blends the classic design of the older phone with cutting edge technology. Its screen flips out and gives you a 21:9 bright and crisp display that is suited for creative work. When folded, the phone turns into a palm-size block that you can neatly slide into your pocket. There are two downsides to this device you have to consider though; the price is set quite high, and it does not have the best camera.

Nokia 2720 Flip

If you are more of a minimalistic type of person, Nokia 2720 Flip might just be a phone for you; it is much smaller and lighter than the devices mentioned above, and its minimalist and sleek design is faithful to Nokia’s classic flip designs. The use of apps is very limited because Nokia does not use Android, and the camera has quite a low resolution, which can be a big plus if you need the phone for work (fewer distractions). The price for this device is pretty affordable for a sleek retro design and modern hardware where it counts.

LG Exalt VN220

The strong design of the LG Exalt VN 220 clamshell ensures that the screen is well-protected, and due to its durable hinge, it will survive years of use. The buttons are large and clear, and the camera is surprisingly good for a reasonably priced device; it is a little bit of a shame that there is no flash but it is better than good for basic tasks. Overall, this is a very handy phone especially for those who find smartphones tricky to use (including senior family members).

Samsung Galaxy Folder 2

This is a phone for everyone who likes the classic style, and it is a shame that it has gotten overshadowed by his ‘’ younger brothers’’.  Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 has a strong design, it has the capacity of holding two SIM cards, and a micro SD memory card. The screen is not flexible like with Galaxy Fold and Z Flip, and it does not have a screen on the outer shell, which makes it extremely durable and less prone to any scratches.
